Artist Statement

As a second generation Hispanic American with a family of educators, I have always looked at art through the lens of pure expression. Using art as a way to not only express feelings but also escape through the practice of many different mediums.  My training as an artist has always been to try and understand as many different approaches to different mediums as I can so that I may eventually share that through the lens as an educator. My influences come from many different aspects of my life, much like the different countries I've had the opportunity to visit, the experiences I’ve had as a child of a single parent or the different connections I have with those around me.
